I teach data and coding

I’m Christian McDonald, an Assistant Professor of Practice in the School of Journalism and Media, Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin. I teach data and coding classes to both undergraduate and graduate students. I became a full-time professor in 2018, but taught classes as an adjunct the five years previous. I worked nearly 30 years as a journalist, most recently as Data and Online Projects editor at the Austin American-Statesman.
